La Communauté Urbaine de Cherbourg est une agglomération contrastée. D'un côté, la campagne et de l'autre, la mer. Une frontière naturelle entre la terre et la mer mais aussi entre les préjugés du lieu et la réalité étonnamment positive. Sur la couverture, une frontière physique et visuelle sépare deux médias : d'un côté, une série de pictogrammes (qui par leur forme sont des signes de vitalité) et de l'autre côté, une composition de photographies, vivante et passionnante (vous pouvez prendre le temps de la découvrir). Ils suggèrent tous deux la diversité des opportunités que peut offrir la ville. À l'intérieur, la couleur jaune rappelle les jours ensoleillés (en contraste avec les préjugés de la région pluvieuse), divise les sections et crée un style distinct. Dans le même esprit, la démarcation claire entre les parties de texte et les images crée une cohérence.
The 'Communauté Urbaine de Cherbourg' is a contrasted agglomeration. On one side, rural areas and on the other, the sea. A natural boundary between land and sea but also between the place's prejudices and the surprisingly positive reality. We chose to make from these contrasts an essential part of the identity of the document.
On the cover, a physical and visual boundary separate two medias : on one side, a series of pictograms (which by their shape are signs of vitality) and on the other side, a composition of photographies, lively and exciting (you can spend time to discover all of it). They both suggest the diversity of opportunities that can offer the city.
Inside, the yellow color recalls sunny days (in contrast with the rainy region's prejudice), divide the sections and create an distinct style. In the same spirit, the clear demarcation between text parts and pictures create coherence.
Die 'Communauté Urbaine de Cherbourg' ist eine kontrastreiche Ballungszone. Auf der einen Seite die ländlichen Gebiete und auf der anderen Seite das Meer. Eine natürliche Grenze zwischen Land und Meer, aber auch zwischen den Vorurteilen des Ortes und der überraschend positiven Realität. Auf dem Umschlag trennt eine physische und visuelle Grenze zwei Medien: auf der einen Seite eine Reihe von Piktogrammen (die durch ihre Form Zeichen der Vitalität sind) und auf der anderen Seite eine Komposition von lebendigen und spannenden Fotografien (man kann sich Zeit nehmen, um alles zu entdecken). Beide weisen auf die Vielfalt der Möglichkeiten hin, die die Stadt bieten kann. Im Inneren erinnert die gelbe Farbe an sonnige Tage (im Gegensatz zum Vorurteil der Regenregion), gliedert die Abschnitte und schafft einen eigenen Stil. Im gleichen Sinne schafft die klare Abgrenzung zwischen Textteilen und Bildern Kohärenz.
